  .  Description

  The _up_dir system variable holds the default upload directory name.
  When a file is to be ed (sent), if the user specifies a drive and/or
  directory in the name, the file is taken from there. However, if
  only a name is specified, the file is searched for in the directory
  indicated by _up_dir. This variable should end with a slash charac-
  ter, '\'. The maximum length is 64 characters.
